Splash Island Fun

We have visited the Splash Island water park inside Wild Adventures twice so far this summer.  The kids have had a blast playing in the water and sliding on the slides.  It is a nice size water park for younger kids.  Heath wouldn't stand still long enough for his Dad to take a picture so we don't have any of him.....maybe next time!

Heath's Birthday Celebration

We had a birthday celebration for Heath after his Daddy came home.  He was so excited to finally get all of his birthday gifts and have a cake that he picked out.  Here are some pics of the celebration.

Heath opening one of his many Lego gifts!
Heath's Batman cake
Chloe and Caroline enjoying cake......they don't have shirts on because the cake stained and we didn't want it all over their clothes.
Eli loves cake....can't you tell?

Daddy Came Home!!!!

Daddy came home on Thursday night.  This is the first of many deployments for us but we are glad to have him home for a little while anyway!  I made a video of the kids running to greet him.  I didn't do such a good job because I forgot to stop taping when he came to hug me so forgive my lack of technical skills!

First Week of Summer Break!

Well summer is in full swing at our house.  As you can see we have kept busy this week.......
Chloe came down with "polka dots" (Stickers she loves to place all over her face and then laugh that she has the polka dots)
We went to see Elmo Live......This is Eli at the show.  He didn't want to go and then when we got there would not take his eyes off the show to take a picture.....this is the best I could get.
Heath and Caroline enjoying Elmo Live.
The girls favorites....Elmo and Abby Cadabby.
Hanging out on our porch pool.  They have had a ball dumping water on each other and all over everything else too.

Movin' On Up!!

Heath finished first grade with a bang!  He got E's and S's in everything, was recognized by his peers as the best reader, and only missed one question on the whole CRCT test!!!  For their end of the year program/party, they performed a reader's theater, read their autobiographies, recognized their peers for their accomplishments, and had a pizza party.  Ms. Dunn has been a great teacher for Heath.  She was firm and consistent with him and challenged him to be a better reader.  He tested out of first grade reading on fifth grade level.  We couldn't be more proud!  Here is a video clip of him reading his autobiography.
